Hop Dog 2016 May 1, 2016 - I brewed this for the 7th Annual Pints for Pets.
3.3 lbs. Briess CBW Rye Extract
6.0 lbs. mix of Mallard Malts Pilsner and Wheat Extract (leftovers from a batch Clint made)
1 oz. Amarillo 7.2% aa (60 min)
1 oz. Amarillo 7.2% aa (45 min)
1 oz. Amarillo 7.2% aa (30 min)
1 oz. Amarillo 7.2% aa (15 min)
Pitched on top of a SA05 yeast cake from a Red Ale.

Witty Girl
August 14, 2010 - Ellen and I brewed this Wit for Brewfest 2010.
6 lbs. wheat extract
1 lb amber dry malt extract
1 lb medium crystal (40L) malt
1 lb oatmeal, toasted for 20 minutes @ 300 degrees or until it smells like cookies
.5 lb dark crystal (80L) malt

1 oz Northern Brewer (60 min.)
.5 oz Norther Brewer (5 min.)
zest of 2 tangerines (5 min.)
1.5 oz coriander, crushed (5 min.)
2 whole star anise (or .25 tsp ground) 5 min.
White Labs Belgian Wit Yeast

Hairy Aprihop Ale
May 1, 2010 - Ellen and I brewed this varient of our tradition Aprihop at LBG's 2010 Maifest utilizing 1 pound of Celeia hops. As with most of our beers there is story that lead us to change the name for this batch. You'll have to attend Muggs for Juggs (june 2010) to hear the story and find out if this is hop overload or a well-balanced fruity ale.
6 lbs. Northern Brewer Gold Extract
8 oz. Celeia pellets(45 min)
8 oz. Celeia pellets(2 min)
1 tsp Irish Moss (Boil 15.0 min)
4 oz Apricot Extract (added at kegging)
Yeast: White Labs English Ale (WLP002)
O.G.: 1044
F.G.: 1012

Heavy Petting Porter
April 24, 2010 - Ellen and I brewed this porter to serve at the 2nd Annual Pints for Pets. Repeat brew on August 21, 2010 for Brewfest.
6 lbs. Northern Brewer Dark extract
0.5 lb. Balck Patent malt
0.5 lb. Chocolate malt
1 oz. Citra pellet hops (45 mins)
1 oz. Citra (20 mins)
1.0 lb. Honey (45 mins)
Irish Moss (15 mins)
Wyeast English Ale yeast

F.G. 1020
Kegged on May 9, 2010. Notes: nice roasty, flavorful porter.

April 8, 2009 - Clint & I brewed this very basic ale to test out the hops we grew last year.
6 lbs. Northern Brewer Organic Light extract

2.2 oz. Cascade - 60 min.
2.0 oz. Cascade - 45 min.
2.0 oz. Cascade - 15 min.
